We had just finished the previous post and sat down with a cup of tea when we looked outside and saw this:

PS How's that humidity treating you all? Currently 45% humidity and 17 degrees outside. Forecast overnight low tonight of 9. Started off the day at 3 degrees at 7am. If any of you want a decent night's sleep, there's a spare bed or 3 upstairs!

Humidity is fine and dandy - 100% means that the air cannot evaporate the sweat that forms, so even sleeping with only the "essentials" (ie: to stop those *jolly* mossies) leaves you wondering if you should be sleeping with a snorkel...
I have taken to sleeping on top of the bed - well, on top of the bottom sheet, with the duvet pushed back to my feet. It means I can get to sleep, and if I do get cold the covers are available if needed.
Tonight we have the fire lit and it is snowing on the hills. 7 degrees outside and falling. We will be wearing winter pyjamas to bed!
PS In case you were wondering, we're absolutely rapt that it's freezing! It's why we moved here...
